[markin] hi everybody. [DrunkOM] Alright, let's get this show on the road [markin] My name is Mike Arkin, and I'm the Producer of Battlezone. [DrunkOM] Hey Mike, thanks for coming. [markin] No problem, thanks for hosting the chat. [DrunkOM] Mike, while we wait for a few questions, why don't you tell us a little bit about Battlezone. [markin] Lets start with the simple questions until I warm up.... OK, Battlezone is a combination of Action and Real Time Strategy. [markin] It is based on what was once the I76 (Interstate '76) engine, with some borrowed Strategic AI from Dark Reign. [DrunkOM] Our first Question is from Rapala [Rapala] Based on the engine and the what looks to be, great map editor, do you forsee many addons being made for Battlezone? [markin] The Map editor is somewhat of a sore point. We originally suggested that it might ship with the game but it does not look like that might happen. We are looking for a way to get it out there, it just might have to be a separate product or a patch. [markin] Hey, everyone welcome Peter, our marketing Product Manager. [DrunkOM] The map editor [missionyard] When can we except the play testers for battlezone to be announced? [markin] Peter, you want to answer that.... [Enjolras] Probably a week from Monday -- that's when we'll tell everyone and also send out CD's (though that may be Tuesday) [markin] How are we making the announcement? On our web page? [Enjolras] We'll send out e-mails to everyone involved first. [DrunkOM] How may applications have you recieved so far?
